Welcome to everyone!
I am so excited to fully launch the Temple Sholom blog. As you may know, blogs are becoming more and more prevalent as a way for communities to stay in touch. It’s a wonderful way to keep people connected, to learn about topics that interest you, and to just poke around and have fun. Already, I’ve received some fascinating pieces (check around) and I look forward to hearing from you all.
With this short post, I wanted to just quickly let you know how to make posts of your own and get them published on the Temple Sholom Blog.
It’s simple and fun to be a blogger for Temple Sholom – just prepare:
- A Word document with a short blog post (around 300 words is usually best)
- Any pictures you want to add (remember a dynamic picture brings in readers – .jpgs please)
- PLEASE INCLUDE: a one sentence Bio that includes how you are connected to Temple Sholom
- PLEASE INCLUDE: A snappy headline
and email these to firstname.lastname@example.org with Blog in the subject title.
One last thing on content – a Blog post should be something from the heart that speaks to your own experience. It’s a place to tell story or a joke, to let people know your feelings, to give some advice, or even leave a recipe.
As much as we’d love to promote your event, this blog is simply not the venue for that kind of thing. Feel free to use links for this purpose.
Thank you so much for coming in and if you’d like to let us know your thoughts – we would love for you to take this brief survey.
or don’t heistate to contact me: Jason@sholomchicago.org.
