How do I become a member?Contact us and we will send you an informational package which includes a membership application. After a brief review process and the application is approved, you will receive a welcome letter.
When does my membership begin?
Our membership year begins July 1st and ends June 30th. In most cases, a congregant's membership begins the month we receive the membership application.
If I don't join on July 1st, are my dues pro-rated?
Sorry, as with our membership year, our fiscal year begins on July 1st; congregants that join between June and December are billed for the annual dues amount. Those that join between January and May are billed based on a pro-rated basis.
What are membership dues?
Temple Sholom works hard to insure that membership dues are manageable for all our congregants. To this end, we are happy to talk with you on the phone or in person about our dues process and how to make membership comfortable for you and your family.
Does membership include tickets to the High Holy Day services?
A single membership includes one adult ticket to the High Holy Day services. A family membership includes two adult tickets to the High Holy Day services and a ticket for each child under 18 in your family.
How do I acquire High Holy Day tickets for my adult children?
College students receive free High Holy Day tickets. With membership, you can purchase High Holy Day tickets for your non-student children (under the age of 30) for $100 each. All other guest tickets can be purchased for $200 each. If you choose to attend only the

What are the benefits of joining the Congregation?
In addition to providing you with a place for prayer and counseling, membership at Temple Sholom instills a sense of belonging to a community. Membership also comes with the privilege of access to our Clergy for life cycle events (namings, marriages, funerals, etc.). You will be able to educate your children in the richness of Judaism, and you can take advantage of our extensive Adult Education programs.
