Israeli Reform Rabbi, Miri Gold serves as Rabbi of Kehilat Birkat Shalom, a regional Reform synagogue based at Kibbutz Gezer.  She has the distinction to be  the first non-orthodox Rabbi recognized by the State of Israel, due to a ruling made by the Israel Attorney General this past May.  This success in the Israeli Supreme Court comes after a six year battle, spearheaded by the Israel Religious Action Center.
