Please join us for a special Shabbat service led by the Women of Temple Sholom. The service will recognize and celebrate all women, and is especially timely as it will take place on International Women’s Day.

The service will feature songs, selected poetry and readings by inspirational women, selected and read by WTS members.

We are also proud to welcome Sharmili Majmudar, Director of Strategic Partnerships at Women Employed, a 45-year-old organization widely recognized for its groundbreaking work to improve women’s economic status and remove barriers to economic equity. Majmudar was honored in 2017 as one of Chicago Woman Magazine’s International Women Leaders, received the Community Advocate Award from the Chicago Metropolitan Battered Women’s Network in 2016, and the 2015 Loyola University Chicago Damen Award which recognizes “qualities of leadership in industry, leadership in community and service to others.” She is also the recipient of the Chicago Foundation for Women’s Impact Award.”

WTS will co-host a special Oneg following the service.
