We invite you to join your 6th grader for a special Yom Horim (Parents Day) on Sunday, March 1. During your 6th grader’s Jewish Studies class hour a representative of SHALVA will join us to address the psycho-social issues of children during this stage of life and how these issues relate to the B’nai Mitzvah experience, particularly in terms of social inclusion and exclusion. This one hour program will focus on exploring ways that you and your child can begin to understand and discuss some of these “growing pains” associated with being a pre-adolescent.
This is a great opportunity to support your child’s social development and get to know other 6th grade families. Please click here to RSVP. I look forward to seeing you there!
