Bill Anspach & Teri Rabai -
MARCH 2015 Donor Spotlight
Bill Anspach and Teri Rabai’s involvement with Temple Sholom dates back to 1993, when they joined the congregation with their two young children, Seth and Emma. In the 22 years that followed, the whole family has embraced their Temple family and been involved in various aspects of the community.
Seth and Emma spent a large part of their childhood at Temple Sholom attending Religious School, celebrating
their B’nai Mitzvah with friends, family, and their temple community in 1998 and 2002 respectively. It was never
a question that they would continue with their membership at Sholom after Emma’s Bat Mitzvah, as “it is very
important to be a member of a synagogue to make sure that it remains available for generations to come.”
Through his work as an attorney, Bill provides legal services to other cemeteries and in 2008 became a member
of the Temple’s Board of Directors so that he could join the Westlawn Board. He currently serves as Vice President
of the Westlawn Cemetery and Mausoleum board and is very involved in its operations. He is also a board
member of Lakeshore Jewish Funerals, a subsidiary of Westlawn.
Another way Bill and Teri have chosen to help secure the future of Temple Sholom for future generations is to
make personal contributions to our Annual Fund and co-hosting a January donor appreciation gathering with
Roger and Terri Rudich, and Scott and Sara Fisher. “We loved having the event in our home, it was a great
night,” they said of the Havdalah service that brought together a diverse group of over 50 Annual Fund donors.
