Nickolas Skok -November 14
Nick Skok, son of Jennifer and Stephen Skok and brother of Ryan and Caroline Skok, will become a Bar Mitzvah on November 14, 2015. He is currently a 7th grader at Francis W. Parker School. Nick has a passion for sports and enjoys playing basketball, soccer, tennis and golf.
During the summers he attends Horseshoe camp in Wisconsin. For Nick’s Mitzvah Project, he has participated in the Temple Sholom Monday Meal and has enjoyed serving those in need. Nick’s family is extremely proud of his hard work and determination.
We are looking forward to celebrating his Bar Mitzvah with family and friends.
Seth Berger - November 14
Seth, son of Alice and David Berger and brother to Rachel, will become a Bar Mitzvah on November 14th. Seth is a 7th grader at Bernard Zell Anshe Emet Day School. Seth loves to play sports. He plays travel baseball for Elite Baseball (he formerly played for Hamlin Park), hockey for Skokie Flyers and school basketball. Seth loves being around his family and friends.
For his Mitzvah project Seth volunteered with The Rehabilitation Institute of Chicago. Seth was a sports assistant to Boccia athletes including a nationally ranked Para Olympian. He supported the team throughout the Boccia season.
Seth’s family is extremely proud of who Seth is as a person and the hard work he has put into becoming a Bar Mitzvah.
Jacob Schulgasser - November 21
Jake Schulgasser, son of Bonnie and Jordan,and brother to Dani and Julia, will become a Bar Mitzvah on November 21, 2015. Jake is an 8th grader at The Catherine Cook School. Jacob loves sports, especially basketball. He plays on travel basketball teams throughout the year. In his free time he enjoys long boarding, biking and listening
For his mitzvah project he's raising money for P.A.W.S., a no-kill cat and dog adoption center, as well as volunteering at the facility. The Schulgassers are very proud of Jake's commitment and hard work and are looking forward to celebrating this special occasion with family and friends.
Leila Sheridan - November 21
Leila's parents, Scott and Tamara “Tommy”, along with her brothers, Max and Levi, look forward to sharing this joyous occasion with family and friends.
Leila is a 7th grader at the Francis W. Parker school in Chicago. She plays field hockey, basketball, and soccer. When she is not active on the playing field she enjoys playing with Blaze, the family’s Goldendoodle.
For her mitzvah project, Leila is working on a project to sell at one of her favorite stores, Frankie’s on The Park; she will donate the profits to the Ann and Robert H. Lurie Children’s Hospital for brain cancer research.
Her family is proud of her accomplishments and her dedication in getting to this meaningful event. Mazel Tov.
