In keeping with the Jewish tradition, we observe the anniversary of a loved one’s death by saying Kaddish . A Yahrzeit plaque is a permanent reminder of the place they held in our lives. All Yahrzeit plaques can be lit anytime and are automatically lit when Yitzkor is observed on Yom Kippur , Shemini Atzeret / Simchat Torah , during the Seventh Day of Pesach and on Shavuot .
