Shabbat Services

Friday Night Services

Pray, sing and engage with the Temple Sholom community as we celebrate Shabbat together. We worship in English and Hebrew (with transliteration available). In order to maintain community safety, we host Shabbat services via Facebook Live, Zoom, and we are beginning mixed-presence (in-person and online) services as well. At this time, if there is an opportunity to join us in the temple for a mixed-presence Shabbat, we will notify our community via email. To be added to our mailing list please contact stacy@sholomchicago.org.

Saturday Morning Prayer & Study

Every Saturday morning, from 9:00 AM – 9:45 AM, Temple Sholom offers a warm minyan service with Torah reading, accessible to “beginners” and “veterans” alike.  Following the service, from 9:50 AM – 10:30 AM, one of our rabbis offers an interactive exploration of the Torah portion for the week.

Tot Shabbat

Tot Services are perfectly designed for families with children under 5 years old to engage with tradition through favorite songs, fun stories, and meaningful moments. We invite Chicagoland families to join our youngest congregants and Gan Shalom students from 5:30 PM – 6:00 PM to celebrate Shabbat and holidays with our Clergy-Education Team and favorite Gan Shalom teachers!

Inspiring music, opportunities to get to know your neighbors, and relevant teachings from our tradition fill the worship experience with fun and meaning.

The Oneg afterward provides another opportunity to get to know other Chicago-area Jewish 20s & 30s. Come alone or with a crew, either way, you’ll find a welcoming atmosphere to meet great new people.
