Pre-Tisha B'av Virtual Lobby Day for Climate Solutions with Jewish Earth Alliance

Tisha B'av commemorates the destruction of the Temple in Jerusalem. But according to tradition, many other disasters also occurred on this date. 

In the Book of Numbers, the Torah relates that Moses sent spies to scout out conditions in the Promised Land.  When they returned on Tisha B'av, ten of the twelve spies emphasized the dangers ahead. The people despaired and gave up hope. But two spies encouraged the people with a vision of the future.  

Like those spies, we have a choice. Will we let fear discourage us, or will we take action to bring about a safe, healthy, and just world?

It is easy to lobby with Jewish Earth Alliance.  You will participate in a half hour appointment on Zoom with other Jews from your state, led by a volunteer who has experience lobbying. You will be provided with talking points and training.  Please note that the Lobby Day takes place before Tisha B’av on Wednesday, July 23 and it’s virtual - you participate on your computer.
