Featuring Susan Weiss Liebman, author of The Dressmaker's Mirror: Sudden Death, Genetics, and a Jewish Family's Secret, who spent years unearthing the genetic mutation secretly lurking in her family's DNA after her niece's sudden death. She will share her journey that turned into one of discovery and empowerment. Lisa Marie Castillo, Genetic Counselor and Associate Professor of Medicine and Cardiology at Northwestern, will discuss her role in identifying this deadly gene mutation and the importance of genetic screening to save families from further loss.
