Friday Night Services
6:15 PM

Pray, sing and engage with the Temple Sholom community as we celebrate Shabbat together. We pray in English and Hebrew (with transliteration available). All of our Shabbat services are hosted in person and online (Zoom and Facebook Live). 
 

Saturday Morning Prayer & Study
9:00 AM

Every Saturday morning, from 9:00 AM – 9:45 AM, Temple Sholom offers a warm minyan service with Torah reading, accessible to “beginners” and “veterans” alike.  Following the service, from 9:50 AM – 10:30 AM, one of our rabbis offers an interactive exploration of the Torah portion for the week. 
 

Tot Shabbat 
5:00 PM

Tot Services are perfectly designed for families with children under 5 years old to engage with tradition through favorite songs, fun stories, and meaningful moments. We invite Chicagoland families to join our youngest congregants and Gan Shalom students from 5:00 PM – 5:30 PM to celebrate Shabbat and holidays with our Clergy-Education Team and favorite Gan Shalom teachers!  
 

Monday Morning Musical Meditation
9:00 AM

Join us for about half an hour. Begin your week in a calm, peaceful way with some of Temple Sholom’s talented Clergy and treasured musicians. 



Special Shabbat Services
 

Shabbat Mishpacha 

(Family-Friendly Shabbat Service—Fun for ALL Ages from 0-120 Years-Old) 

Once a month, ALL are welcome to a Family-Friendly Shabbat experience including dinner and worship.  Children under the age of 8 are invited to engage in special Shabbat activities and crafts while older children participate in a festive, musical service with a special story in the Sanctuary.  Folks of ALL ages enjoy this very special Shabbat.

Makom 20s & 30s Shabbat

Every third Friday, Jewish 20’s and 30’s come together at our synagogue around 6:30 pm for tasty appetizers before a Kabbalat Shabbat Service at 7:15 pm. Inspiring music, opportunities to get to know your neighbors, and relevant teachings from our tradition fill the worship experience with fun and meaning. 

The Oneg afterward provides another opportunity to get to know other Chicago-area Jewish 20s & 30s. Come alone or with a crew, either way, you’ll find a welcoming atmosphere to meet great new people.

Or Chadash Shabbat

Once a month, Or Chadash (New Light), Temple Sholom's community group for LGBTQ+ members and allies, hosts a very special Shabbat experience.  A warm and musical Shabbat service at 7:30 pm follows a special Shabbat meal at 6:30 pm enjoyed with old friends and new.
