Sukkot Tot Shabbat

Friday, Oct 10th 5:00p to 6:30pAt 5:00 PM, families with children ages 0-5 are invited to celebrate this special Sukkot Tot Shabbat where we will shake the lulav and etrog, enjoy songs and stories, and welcome in Sukkot together, led by our Temple Sholom Clergy and our Gan Shalom community. Mishpacha Family Education

Family involvement and participation are integral parts of our Religious School program. This demonstrate that Jewish commitment and involvement are lifelong endeavors, and that the family is the cornerstone of Jewish living.  

 

Opportunities for families include: 

  • Family Learning Programs: parent-child learning days including field trips to Westlawn Cemetery, Illinois Holocaust Museum & Education Center, and various hands-on learning opportunities 
  • Shabbat Mishpacha Friday evening services, followed by festive family dinners, crafts, and social justice projects
  • JK-2nd Grade Junior Congregation monthly on Sundays during Religious School 
  • Consecration of new students in JK-2nd Grade - this year on a Sunday during Religious School 
  • Family holiday celebrations on Sundays, including our Chanukah Festival and the Purim Carnival 
  • Graduation Shabbat, celebrating our 12th Grade Crown Family High School Senior Seminar participants and Madrichim (teacher assistants)
