Supporting Your Jewish Student in Today's Climate

Sunday, Oct 19th 9:30a to 12:00pJUF Campus Affairs will equip you with the tools you need to deal with the hard parts of being—or parenting—a Jewish student in today's polarized climate. What you'll gain: • Help your students advocate for themselves • Learn how to engage with tough questions and difficult situations • Explore resources for dealing with conflicts in schools and supporting Jewish student life • Practice applying new skills with a supportive group of parents and professionals. Chavrei Shalom & Noar Shalom Youth Groups 

Several times each year we invite students in 3rd-5th and 6th-8th grade to gather for fun programs and volunteer opportunities that are part of the Temple community. Chavrei Shalom is for students in 3rd-5th grade, and Noar Shalom is for students in 6th-8th grade. We hope you will join us for these amazing offerings.

 

 


Orr Shalom High School Youth Group 

Our youth group for teens (9th-12th grade) is led by our Orr Shalom High School Youth Executive Board, and participates in monthly social action projects, social events, and Temple events. Members of our youth group represent our youth at congregational events and committee meetings, and work as Madrichim (teaching assistants) in the Religious School. Many also participate in Crown Family High School on Wednesday nights.

 

 

 

Weeknight Kef (Fun) Club

3rd-7th graders have the opportunity to socialize, play games, or create art in our “Kef (Fun) Club” with our Family & Youth Engagement Associate before Midweek Religious School on Wednesdays. Pizza and snacks are provided each week for all students registered.
