Makom Shabbat of Abundance
Friday, March 21, 2025 • 21 Adar 5785
6:30 PM - 9:30 PMIn Person at Temple SholomJoin our 20s/30s community for another amazing Makom Shabbat experience and dinner! This month, we're leaning into the concept of abundance. Abundance is more than just the idea of having an excess of resources or material possessions - more importantly, it's a mindset that embraces the belief that there is enough to go around if we share our resources, center creativity, and cultivate gratitude for the many blessings we already have, rather than what we lack. When we embrace an abundance mindset and reject scarcity and competition, we all benefit!
This Shabbat, we hope you will join us in a communal exercise of embracing an abundance mindset. Join us at 6:30 PM for a social hour with snacks and drinks (non-alcoholic options always available) before our warm and creative Kabbalat Shabbat service begins at 7:00 PM. Stay for dinner and linger in the beauty of Shabbat and community. This month, we are proud to host Chicago's Avodah Service Corps members!
This event is for those ages 21-39. If you are outside of that age range, we invite you to participate in one of our many other community groups.
The cost to attend is $10 for Temple Sholom members, and $18 for non-Temple Sholom members.*
If you have dietary restrictions, please register at least 5 days in advance in order to help us best welcome you and accommodate your needs. Thank you in advance!
**We charge a small fee in order to subsidize the cost of this event, but finances should never be a barrier to participation. If the fee for this event is cost-prohibitive for you, please reach out to Jude Kamler at jude@sholomchicago.org to discuss options.
