In partnership with Keshet, Repair the World, Mishkan Chicago, and Base Chicago, you’re invited to gather in queer community at Base Andersonville on Thursday, October 5 from 6:00-8:00 PM!

This will include:

• Drinks (alcoholic and non-alcoholic) and light apps

• Schmoozing in the sukkah

• Lulav-shaking under the s’chach and stars

• Learning about ushpizin/ushpizata, our sacred sukkah guests

We'll also be collecing clothing donations to support Brown Elephant. This vintage store’s proceeds support LGBTQ+ healthcare and fund care for the uninsured and under-insured at Howard Brown Health.

Onsite, you'll also have the opportunity to donate to Brave Space Alliance.

Brave Space Alliance was created to fill a gap in the organizing of and services to trans and gender-nonconforming people. Currently, very few LGBTQ social services or advocacy networks exist on the South and West Sides of Chicago. Furthermore, the few trans-specific resources in the city are located in majority-white neighborhoods on the North Side, which are inaccessible geographically, and also regularly result in the hyper-policing of trans people of color who attempt to access them.

Donations to Brave Space Alliance will go towards funding one of their transformative community programs and providing free resources to the BIPOC LGBTQ+ communities on the South and West Side.
