The Lunar New Year in 2025 welcomes the Year of the Snake, according to the Chinese lunar calendar. Celebrated by millions around the world, this is a time for cultural traditions, family reunions, and hopes for good fortune in the coming year. In our Jewish community, we celebrate the rich diversity of Jews of Color and their families who celebrate both the Lunar New Year and Jewish traditions. This year, the last day of the Lunar New Year festival falls on the eve of Tu BiShvat, the New Year of the Trees.
Hosted by Shalem, this event invites all of the temple community to celebrate together in this festive dual celebration with plenty of delicious traditional treats!
