Join the Temple Sholom community in prayer as we celebrate Sukkot, one of the most joyful festivals on the Jewish calendar. “Sukkot,” a Hebrew word meaning "booths" or "huts," refers to the Jewish festival of giving thanks for the fall harvest. The holiday has also come to commemorate the 40 years of Jewish wandering in the desert after the giving of the Torah atop Mt. Sinai.

Our congregational celebration will take place after the 6:15 PM Shabbat service. Come for Shabbat, stay for the cider donuts, popcorn, and mini pies! We'll enjoy these sweet treats while dwelling in the sukkah and soaking up the autumn vibes! 

Sukkot also reminds us just how vulnerable it can feel to have a temporary dwelling place, and to be grateful for what we have. With this in mind, we'll also be completing a service activity, by assembling to-go toiletry kits for our Monday Meal guests. Adults and children alike will feel good knowing that they are giving back to the community during our celebration.
