Temple Sholom Annual High Holy Day Food Drive 5784

With the start of the High Holy Days just around the corner, that means our annual food drive benefiting our longtime partner, Nourishing Hope (formerly Lakeview Pantry) is back too! Donation bags will be handed out after Erev Rosh Hashanah services, and family and congregational Rosh Hashanah services. We ask that if you are able, to bring non-perishable donations to Temple Yom Kippur Day (Sept. 25). Donations will ONLY be accepted on Yom Kippur Day this year.

We accept all NON-PERISHABLE donations, but below are the items that are most needed this year. We are unable to accept perishable items.

  • Peanut butter
  • Pasta
  • Jams/jellies
  • Canned beans
  • Rice
  • Diapers: baby and adult
  • Hygiene items: soap, toothbrush, toothpaste, deodorant, etc.
  • Laundry detergent

Food drive drop off days:

  • Donations will be accepted on Yom Kippur Day only. They will be taken from you before entering the building for family and congregational services.

For questions about the food drive, please contact Stacy Charnay at stacy@sholomchicago.org or 773-435-1545.
