Mishpacha

Mishpacha means "Family" in Hebrew. At Temple Sholom we embrace all families through a variety of signature events and programs, including a very special Family Shabbat, called Shabbat Mishpacha.

Shabbat Mishpacha Schedule:

  • 5:15-6:00 PM - Family Shabbat services begin. This service is designed especially for families with children ages 0-12, and includes singing, praying, and celebrating the magic of Shabbat together with our Temple Sholom clergy!

  • 6:00-7:15 PM - A kid-friendly dinner is served in Bettie Port Hall, with a kosher option available. There will be an age-appropriate craft and service project for families to participate in. Afterwards, enjoy some sweets together!

Our Tot Shabbat programs invites families with children ages 0-5, including Gan Shalom families, to join our clergy and educators in singing, celebrating, and praying together.

Of course, there are other opportunities to engage with our Mishpacha community that include Mishpacha meet-ups around the city and family-oriented service projects. Above all, Mishpacha grows the next generation of Jews by providing all involved a warm, inviting place to embrace their extended Jewish family!
