  • Class placement (“buddy”) requests are due by Monday, August 14, and registration is due by Monday, August 28. If you make a placement request after August 14, we will do our best to accommodate it, but we have to start creating classes at that time.

Lifelong Learning Mission Statement

As our Lifelong Learning mission statement says, “we are committed to learning that embraces, inspires, and matters to our congregation and community at every age and level.”

  • We embrace our students as they are, welcoming them to feel part of something bigger.
  • We inspire children to learn about themselves, using tools rooted in our tradition to be a force for good.
  • We matter by making spiritual growth a priority amidst a sea of change, improving ourselves and thereby the world.

Structure of Upcoming Year

  • Midweek Religious School begins on Wednesday, October 4.
  • Crown Family High School begins on Wednesday, October 11.
  • Sunday Religious School begins on Sunday, October 15.
  • We will offer an opportunity for families to meet and socialize on Sunday, September 10 before we break for the High Holy Days. More details on this opportunity to come later this summer.
Here are some changes that you'll see this year:
  • Midweek Religious School will only be offered at 5:00 PM this year, due to the historically low registration of the later evening session. Midweek Religious School will take place from 5:00pm-6:15 PM each week. This allows students to have more opportunities for chugim (activities) and other special programming around the building, while still protecting the time that teachers and students have in the classroom.
  • We know from your feedback that in-person learning is strongly preferred, but that offering a hybrid program for Midweek Religious School allows our community to stay connected in powerful ways. Therefore, we plan to continue offering an online Midweek Religious School option, based on sufficient enrollment. This is subject to change as we develop our vision for a more engaging and successful online Hebrew experience. The timing of this option will be determined later this summer, as it is not necessarily restricted to the 5:00-6:15 PM Wednesday time slot. If you select a preference for Midweek online learning, we will be in touch later this summer.
  • We will offer our "Kef (Fun) Club" early drop-off program from 4:30-5:00 PM before Midweek Religious School classes. This is a time for socializing in an atmosphere similar to youth group activities, with snacks provided each week. You can sign up for Kef Club in registration, but there will be other opportunities to sign-up for it later this summer, as well as once the school year starts.

For teens, we offer many opportunities, including our Wednesday evening Crown Family High School and our Madrichim Teacher Assistant ProgramClick here for details!
