Member High Holy Day tickets will be issued as part of the renewal process*. Guest tickets will be available in mid-July for anyone looking to purchase additional tickets for guests outside their household.

Members can secure their High Holy Days tickets by renewing membership in one of the following ways:
1. Paying their membership commitment in full.
2. Scheduling payment for their membership commitment.

If you would like to make additional renewal arrangements than the options above, please contact the Finance Team at
sholomfinance@sholomchicago.org.

*Electronic High Holy Day tickets will be sent via e-mail to members on a rolling basis, every two weeks, beginning in August.

Self-Guided Cemetery Visit

It is traditional to visit the gravesites of loved ones during the High Holy Days. Temple Sholom is providing our community with the beautiful prayers for visiting the graves of loved ones on their own time. Download prayers.

Tickets available for non-members, who are ages 36 and over.

Member-Guest Tickets - $180

Tickets available for Temple Sholom of Chicago members to purchase for guests.

Makom Tickets - $80

Tickets available for non-members, who are ages 21-35.

Student Tickets - FREE

Tickets available for current students with a valid student ID.


 Members will automatically receive their High Holy Day tickets once they have renewed (these confirmation e-mails will be sent every other Friday, beginning on August 1st, to newly renewed members). If you are a member at Temple Sholom of Chicago, purchasing guest tickets, please use the form below and make sure to select that you "are a member" so that the correct guest ticket price is reflected.

Temple Sholom Membership

High Holy Day tickets are free for our members and membership is the best way to sustain our community!
All money spent on High Holy Day tickets for your household can be put towards membership anytime during the 2025-2026 Membership Year (July 2025 - June 2026).

Whether you are a member at Temple Sholom of Chicago looking to attend High Holy Days at a destination congregation, or you are members part of a different Union for Reform Judaism congregation looking to join Temple Sholom of Chicago for High Holy Day this year. Childcare 

The deadline for High Holy Day childcare has passed. 

Due to a lack of registrations, we will not be offering it this year. If you have young children, we encourage you to attend our 9:00 AM services on Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur Day where all ages are welcome, and these services are specifically geared towards families.

Bag Policy

Small purses and bags are permitted during High Holy Day services, provided they are no larger than 8"x8". All small bags and purses will be inspected upon entry to the building. Please note that larger bags are not allowed in the sanctuary during these services. If you have essential items that you need to bring but your bag exceeds the size limit, 12"x12" clear plastic bags with drawstring closures are available for your convenience in the Stratford lobby.

Are you interested in helping us with one of the following volunteer opportunities?

Become an usher to play a vital role in creating a warm and smooth High Holy Day experience by welcoming attendees, assisting newcomers, and ensuring service flow.

Assist us as a doctor, your volunteer support is sought to ensure medical care during services, where potential emergencies can arise, and with available defibrillator, first-aid supplies, and security team.

Annual Food Drive

Your role is vital in the collection of food that will help so many in Chicago. Donation bags will be handed out after Erev Rosh Hashanah services, and family and congregational Rosh Hashanah services. These bags, full of donations will be collected on Yom Kippur morning. Sukkot Service with Emanuel

Tuesday, Oct 7th 10:30a to 12:00pJoin the Temple Sholom at Emanuel Congregation (5959 N Sheridan Rd, Chicago, IL 60660) in prayer as we celebrate Sukkot, one of the most joyful festivals on the Jewish calendar. “Sukkot,” a Hebrew word meaning "booths" or "huts," refers to the Jewish festival of giving thanks for the fall harvest. The holiday has also come to commemorate the 40 years of Jewish wandering in the desert after the giving of the Torah atop Mt. Sinai.
