Shabbat Service featuring Dr. Oded Leshem
Friday, December 5, 2025 • 15 Kislev 5786
6:15 PM - 7:30 PMIn Person and Online
Dr. Oded Adomi Lashem of Intergroup Conflict and Reconciliation Lab at the Hebrew University, Israel. Dr. Leshem is the author of numerous publications on hope and despair as political phenomena. He will share insights from his research and reflections on what hope really is—how it shapes political behavior, why it matters in moments of crisis, and how we can cultivate it in ourselves and our societies. From the philosophical to the practical, and against the backdrop of ongoing violence and conflict, Oded invites us to consider whether hope is a destination or a tool—and why, especially now, it may be our most vital resource.
