Co-written and directed by Italian filmmaker Sergio Leone, this epic crime film features a non-linear narrative and is based on Harry Grey’s novel The Hoods. The film chronicles the lives of David “Noodles” Aaronson (Robert De Niro) and Maximilian “Max” Bercovicz (James Woods) as they lead a group of Jewish ghetto youths who rise to prominence in New York City’s world of organized crime. The film explores themes such as childhood friendships, love, lust, betrayal, and broken relationships, all amidst the rise of mobsters in American society. The cast also includes Elizabeth McGovern, Tuesday Weld, and Treat Williams. The Italian composer and conductor Ennio Morricone created the score. 

This film contains extremely strong violence and frontal graphic nudity.
