Local civic educator and activist Tom Tresser (and member of the Temple Sholom Advocacy Committee) will present on his newest book.

His recently published book "No Games Chicago: How a Small Group of Citizens Derailed the City's 2016 Olympic Bid" recounts the story of No Games Chicago, a group of volunteers who spiked Chicago’s Bid for the 2016 Summer Olympics. Tom was a co-leader and a spokesperson for the campaign, which had cagey Davids fighting multiple Goliaths, international intrigue, daring tactics, civic thuggery, attempted bribes, a real-life spy – and an astonishing win!
