10:45 AM - 11:45 AMRabbi Mikva is the Rabbi Herman E. Schaalman Chair & Professor of Jewish Studies at the Chicago Theological Seminary. She is the daughter of the late Illinois Congressman, Judge, and Pres. Clinton Chief of Staff Abner Mikva. Rabbi Rachel Mikva earned a M.A. and rabbinical ordination from Hebrew Union College-Jewish Institute of Religion and a PhD from Jewish Theological Seminary. She was also an Associate Rabbi at Congregation KAM Isaiah Israel in Hyde Park working along with the late Rabbi Arnold Wolf, who was a legend in Chicago and in the Reform movement. She generally introduces herself as a rabbi and professor who works at the intersections of sacred texts, culture, and ethics.
