Makom Shabbat in Bloom

Friday, May 16, 2025 18 Iyar 5785

6:30 PM - 9:30 PMIn Person at Temple Sholom

Join our 20s/30s community for another amazing Kabbalat Shabbat experience and dinner! This month, we're leaning into the spring vibes! It's not just flora and fauna that are in bloom during this season - our lives can be fruitful as well. We're excited to come together and celebrate this fruitfulness together in gratitude.

Join us at 6:30 PM for a social hour with snacks and drinks (non-alcoholic options always available) before our warm and creative Kabbalat Shabbat service begins at 7:00 PM. Stay for dinner and linger in the beauty of Shabbat and community.

We're also excited to partner with the Norton and Elaine Sarnoff Center for Jewish Genetics at this Shabbat. The Sarnoff Center provides educational resources related to hereditary cancers and genetic disorders more common among individuals of Jewish descent.

This event is for those ages 21-39. If you are outside of that age range, we invite you to participate in one of our many other community groups.

The cost to attend is $10 for Temple Sholom members, and $18 for non-Temple Sholom members.*

If you have dietary restrictions, please register at least 5 days in advance in order to help us best welcome you and accommodate your needs. Thank you in advance!

**We charge a small fee in order to subsidize the cost of this event, but finances should never be a barrier to participation. If the fee for this event is cost-prohibitive for you, please reach out to Jude Kamler at jude@sholomchicago.org to discuss options.
