October Makom Shabbat Dinner and Experience

Friday, October 15, 2021 9 Cheshvan 5782

7:45 PM - 9:30 PMIn person

Join us  for a very special Shabbat dinner and ritual!

Raise your kiddush cup and enjoy a wonderful outdoor Shabbat with the Makom 20s/30s community. We will enjoy an amazing dinner, plus beer, wine, and soft drinks; meaningful and musical Shabbat ritual; and dessert as we reconnect with old friends and meet new ones.

Due to an abundance of caution regarding COVID-19, we will have to cap the registration for this event. We’re sure this event will “sell out,” so please sign up today! We ask that all those who register to join us are fully vaccinated against COVID-19.

Tickets for Makom Shabbat are $20 per person to help us offset the cost of renting the venue, dinner, drinks, and more. If that amount is cost-prohibitive for you, please contact Emma Harmon at emma@sholomchicago.org and we will make it possible for you to attend.

*Exact address provided upon registration, venue in the Wicker Park neighborhood. Location is an outdoor rooftop accessed via elevator and is wheelchair accessible.

Temple Sholom's Shabbat services will take place on October 15 at 6:15 PM both in-person at the synagogue and online. Makom Shabbat is designed so anybody who would like to attend Temple Sholom's Shabbat services can do so, then join us afterwards at 7:45 for dinner and Shabbat rituals.

We make no promises, but we're happy to try to match you with someone also heading west to Wicker Park for a carpool! The drive is short, only about 15 minutes, which is also exactly enough time to make a new friend. Trust us, we checked.

We make no promises, but if we are able, we'd love to connect you with someone who can split a rideshare with you to Makom Shabbat.
