Sholom Justice's 'What is Advocacy?'

7:00 PM - 8:00 PMMixed-Presence

Join the Fight for Justice in Illinois: How You Can Make a Difference in 10 Minutes or Less

Join with the Temple Sholom Advocacy Committee on Thursday, February 23rd at 7:00 pm in person or via Zoom for a workshop on advocacy and the opportunity to share your thoughts on what issues concern you and what bills Temple Sholom should advocate for in the next legislative session.

Why advocacy? One of the most effective ways to repair the world and advance social justice goals is to remove the conditions that cause injustice and violence to occur. One powerful way to do this is to be an advocate for legislation that makes systematic changes to our laws for the betterment of our society.

This workshop will help set the direction for the temple’s advocacy efforts and will give you the tools to help make a difference in just a few minutes.

Bring your friends and join the powerful circle of people of goodwill who are working together to make a real, lasting difference to our city, our state, our country. It’s an opportunity to use the leverage that Temple Sholom provides to make a meaningful impact on advancing social justice goals in which you believe — and it can take only a few minutes.
