9:30 AM - 10:30 AMZoom OnlyDiscover inspiring stories in our Sunday Scholar Series, “Jews You Should Know”, as members of the Adult Education Committee share about their favorite Jewish figures from history. From trailblazers in politics and culture to leaders in faith and justice, this session shines a light on the remarkable individuals who have shaped Jewish life and the wider world.
We have all heard about various Jewish figures who are famous for great works, or skills in their professional field--Barbra Streisand, Sandy Koufax, Albert Einstein, Elana Kagan... the list goes on. But the contributions of Jewish figures to the betterment of society runs deep. Let's come together to learn about some Jews you have never heard but who have done great works, or Jews you have heard of but you had no idea of their great works, or someone you have heard of, and you know their work, but you did not know they were Jewish or that their dedication to the work was grounded in their Jewish faith. You may be surprised to learn about some new unsung Jewish figures.
