COVID-19 Vaccine Information & Updates

Chicago State Vaccination Site Now Doing Drive-Thru Shots

People do not need to make appointments to use the drive-thru, which is open noon-6 p.m. Monday-Friday and 9 a.m.-3 p.m. Saturdays.
It’s closed Sundays. The site is at 9501 S. King Drive.

The drive-thru will use Johnson & Johnson vaccine doses, which means people will only have to get one shot. People must be 18 or older to get that vaccine. The shots are free. People do not have to have insurance to get vaccinated and government-issued IDs are not required.

Vaccine Information from Jesse Brown VA Medical Center

The SAVE Lives Act allows Jesse Brown VA Medical Center to provide COVID-19 vaccines to all Veterans regardless of their age,
health conditions, or nature of discharge from military service. Veterans' spouses, caregivers, widows and widowers can also
get the vaccine at Jesse Brown.

Veterans who currently get their health care from VA can make their vaccine appointment by calling (312) 569-5801 or by contacting their care team. All other Veterans, spouses, and caregivers can sign up to get the COVID-19 vaccine by completing a short online form at www.va.gov/health-care/covid-19-vaccine/stay-informed. This form registers Veterans, spouses, caregivers, widows, and widowers to receive the vaccine. People who register using this tool will be contacted by Jesse Brown to schedule their appointment, or they can call (312) 569-5801 to schedule their appointment 24 hours after completing the form. Spouses and caregivers do not need to register with or schedule a vaccine appointment with a Veteran. Registration and scheduling are done individually.

Vaccine appointments are available Monday thru Saturday with some evening appointments available. Vaccines are administered at 2215 W. Harrison Street in Chicago and at the Adam Benjamin, Jr. VA Outpatient Clinic at 9301 Madison Street in Crown Point, Indiana. Some vaccine appointments are available at other Jesse Brown community-based outpatient clinics.

Anyone with questions about registration, enrollment, or eligibility can call (312) 569-6177 or visit the Jesse Brown Become a Patient site for more information.

Vaccines Through Walgreens

Walgreens tends to release vaccine appointments (if available) at 6:00am on their website. If you are eligible,
they will provide with you with dates/times at participating locations in your area.

VaccineFinder

VaccineFinder helps you find clinics, pharmacies, and other locations that offer COVID-19 vaccines in the United States.
